Three Simple Steps to Apply
Step 1: Complete Your FAFSA
- Remember to add 91´óÉñ school code to your school list: 04189700
- Electronically sign the FAFSA with your FSA ID and submit it for processing.
Step 2: Complete Entrance Counseling
- Required for students applying for federal student loans
Step 3: Sign Master Promissory Note (MPN)
- Legal document agreeing to repay your federal student loans, interest, and fees
Federal Financial Aid Eligibility Criteria
To qualify, students must:
- Be a U.S. Citizen or eligible non-citizen (permanent resident)
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Be enrolled in an eligible program
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress
- Not be in default on a federal student loan
- Not owe a refund on a federal grant

Available Federal Financial Aid Programs
Federal Pell Grant
For undergraduates without a bachelor’s/professional degree. No repayment required.
Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants (FSEOG)
For undergraduates with exceptional financial need. Limited funding.
William D. Ford Federal Direct Loan (Direct Loan) Program
Federal student loan program where U.S. Department of Education is the lender.
Includes:
Direct Subsidized Loan — Need-based for undergraduates. Government covers interest while enrolled half-time + grace period.
Direct Unsubsidized Loan — For undergrad, grad, and professional students. Interest accrues during enrollment.
Direct PLUS Loan — For grad/professional students and parents of dependent undergrads. Credit-based.
